Description
The Tomita Method offers an innovative approach that differs from conventional myofascial techniques. Unlike traditional methods that apply prolonged pressure to the core of the muscle (muscle belly), this method focuses on precisely releasing myofascial adhesions at the junctions of the musculoskeletal system (bone edges). Through gentle yet extremely precise stimulation with the fingertips, the therapist can release adhesions deep within the myofascial connections.
To master this technique, you need to acquire the following two key elements:
Delicate palpation to perceive the overall continuity of myofascial tension.
Ultra-precise touch to accurately identify and release adhesions close to the bone.
Therefore, this training is focused on practical practice. Once mastered, this tactile sensation can be applied to any other clinical approach. Furthermore, participants will learn about the mechanisms based on the latest myofascial research I conducted during my doctoral studies at the University of Montreal. This is an effective, sustainable, and completely safe treatment method that also protects the massage therapist's joints and energy.
